Yorkshire Roller Shutters asked us to supply a PVC curtain for their customer in Leeds. They had a few requirements that we needed to satisfy. Firstly they needed the goods within the warehouse to be concealed, meaning standard clear grade wasn’t going to be suitable.

 In addition, they needed a curtain that they could slide out of the way to allow forklifts and pallets to be driven through.

Solution

After discussing several options it was decided that the best solution would be to go for a frosted grade PVC , which would allow some privacy and concealment of goods, whilst still transmitting light.

For the passage of forklifts and pallets, a 4-piece bi-parting system was created; with the two end quarters were fixed whilst the middle section could be moved on a sliding track when needed.

We were able to supply the PVC strips, sliding gear and heavy duty track- all cut to size and dispatched within 3 working days.

We devised and supplied all of the elements for Yorkshire Roller Shutters who then installed the gear themselves. The curtain started paying for itself immediately, insulating the warehouse and saving on energy bills.
